Shannon Elizabeth Would Have Made a Great Cheerleader

Today's post is taking a different path. Though we usually highlight current college cheerleaders, today we're focusing on one of the greatest college cheerleaders that could have been: Shannon Elizabeth.

Shannon Elizabeth was a cheerleader in high school before becoming a huge star of TV and film in American Pie and That 70's Show.  However, aside from her already impressive list of movies, Shannon has a second career that some may have overlooked.  She is actually a fantastic poker player and over the last few years has become one of the best celebrity poker players in the world.

Elizabeth has called poker her "second career" and really began to take the game seriously in 2005.  She had traveled numerous times to Las Vegas to play in games with top pros and even played in the 2005 World Series of Poker while being coached by four time WSOP bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu.

You can check out Shannon's poker profile page for more information on her poker career, but suffice it to say she is easily one of the best celebrity players of all-time.  She plays most games competently and has won over $224,000 in professional poker tournaments for her career.  In addition, she has appeared in poker themed films such as The Grand and Deal.  Considering her overall competency at the game, don't be surprised to see her take up poker as her primary career sometime in the future.

Though I still dream about what she would have looked like as a cheerleader.
